Arts center reaches $200K goal for theater upgrades
After receiving an $85,800 grant two weeks ago, the Foundation for the Chilkat Center for the Arts has reached its $200,000 fundraising goal for its “Lights, Sound, Action!” upgrades project. Grants to nonprofits $94K, lowest since ’09
The Haines Borough Assembly last week authorized $94,300 in funding for local nonprofits, nearly $33,000 less than the amount requested and the lowest amount it has disbursed in grants since 2009.
