Last year, Debra Schnabel of Lynn Canal Corporation approached the Haines Borough School District with a wonderful idea for creating a colorful mural on the plain, gray concrete wall at the elementary school entrance on Main Street. The joyful mural that welcomes students to the school was the result of the efforts of many people.
