An officer responded when a person was locked out of their car at Cathedral View. A locksmith was called.
A drunken person on the west side of town was placed in protective custody.
A caller reported a plow bermed off part of a residential area on Helms Loop. An officer contacted the plow driver to remove the berm.
A caller reported a leaning tree about to fall down near Piedad.
Saturday, Nov. 12
Road crews asked police to notify drivers of parked cars about snowplowing at Second Avenue and Main Street.
Troopers were advised of an apparently abandoned brown bear cub at 21 Mile Haines Highway.
Troopers left a phone message for the owner a vehicle in a ditch at 5.5 Mile Haines Highway. It was blocking part of a lane.
A caller reported a power line in a Young Road tree, making a crackling sound. Alaska Power and Telephone was advised.
Friday, Nov. 11
An officer noticed a vehicle in a ditch at Jones Point while on patrol and contacted the driver to check on their condition.
A caller reported icy conditions at the library.
Thursday, Nov. 10
A caller reported a young black bear with an injured paw at Fourth Avenue and Union Street. The bear had been reported in the same location the previous day.
A caller reported a reckless driver failed to yield at a Third Avenue and Main Street crosswalk. Officers were unable to contact the driver.
Wednesday, Nov. 9
A caller reported black smoke coming from a burn barrel on Small Tracts Road. A fireman responded and found the barrel barely smoking.
A caller reported their child did not arrive home on the bus. Dispatch located the child at the pool and contacted the parent.
Tuesday, Nov. 8
A caller reported an upside-down vehicle at 16 Mile Haines Highway. Fire and ambulance crews responded. The driver was unharmed and had found a ride into town with another motorist.
A caller requested help with a drunken family member at a downtown apartment. An officer responded and assisted the person to their residence.
There were 11 medical calls and two calls about dogs.
