Alcan 200 to close road Jan. 15
Haines Highway will be closed Saturday, Jan. 15, from Mile 42 to Dezadeash Lake for the Alcan 200 snowmachine road race. The closure has been set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 766-2050. The race, now in its 42nd year, typically attracts competitors from Yukon Territory, British Columbia and Interior Alaska.
