Scott Carey attended and said the poems shared a theme of community togetherness. Carey especially enjoyed the music from Keep The Pool Open, noting that the drummer, Justin Letson, was a real standout. Mardell Gunn says she enjoyed Daniel Klanott’s story about how Klukwan was founded and Janine Allen sharing information about cochlear implants. Allen made the information accessible by working in a few ASL signs and providing written information for the audience. John Minoia on acoustic guitar was a perfect addition. Music teacher Josh Colosky wowed a few people. Debra Schnabel said that his music was the most subtle and calming sound that she had heard in a very long time.
