On behalf of Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska, a big thank you to Haines. The Haines Borough and community went above and beyond, quickly coming into action to assist with the Nieuw Amstersdam. This was such a wonderful example of how our community shows up as well as of how our town is prepared for emergency situations. Local churches, organizations, individuals and borough staff were immediately available and taking action to assist in accommodating almost 300 guests and crew with a safe dry place, food, dry clothing, and even wine and entertainment. Haines, you are incredible.
