He seeks to suspend habeas corpus (a legal procedure that allows a person to challenge their unlawful detention or imprisonment in court, and is in the Constitution), despite federal judges rejecting his contention that the presence of a foreign gang constituted an invasion under the Alien Enemies Act.
His ICE terror tactics are reminiscent of Soviet gestapo or Nazi storm troopers, arresting U.S. citizens, including state senators, claiming they assaulted ICE agents, only to later release them when videos prove their claims false.
ICE has claimed upward of 70% of those arrested are “serious criminals,” but according to recent ICE stats publicly released: 47% of those being held by ICE have no criminal conviction at all. Seventy-five percent of people in ICE private prisons have nothing more than an immigration related issue or a traffic violation. The percentage of “serious criminals” being held by ICE is only 9%.
He attacks any federal judge who rules against his numerous illegal actions, calling them “rogue judges,” when in fact they are doing their job to uphold the rule of law.
He appoints cabinet leaders based on loyalty to him, not qualifications.
He said in an interview he “didn’t know” if he had to follow the Constitution. Not surprising, he would forget the oath of office he took, as keeping his word has always been a foreign concept to him.
