Caller wants to sue for peace – officers spoke with the caller.

Caller requested a welfare check on his wife who is reported to be staying with her sister in the Haines area – Caller does not know where the sister lives. 

HBPD officers spoke with a citizen on Small Tracts Road. 

Monday, October 28

HVFD responded to a reported hazmat issue.

Caller brought in a check that was fraudulent – an officer advised.

An officer assisted another agency.

Caller reported two bears in the area that were aggressive and did not leave when pepper sprayed near the Skyline Ripinsky Trail Head – an officer and bear biologist were advised. 

Tuesday, October 29

An officer responded to a request to search the junked vehicle barge for an emergency beacon. No alarms were found on the barge. 

Wednesday, October 30

Caller advised that three bears were just at the neighbors residence but they were not home. A few minutes later the caller reported the neighbors had returned home. 

Caller reported being harassed – an officer spoke with the caller. 

Thursday, October 31

Caller advised there is a person trespassing on his friend’s property who has built a fire in a shed – an officer advised. 

Caller reported the trespasser is still on property and needs an officer. Officers responded to the scene and contacted the property owner via phone. The property owner reported that the trespasser had their permission to be on the property. 

Caller reported violation of a protective order – an officer spoke with the caller. 

Caller reported lots of kids walking around and a bear in the area – an officer responded. 

A caller reported an assault – HBPD officers responded. 

Friday, November 1

Caller reported two trespassers on his property and a neighbor’s property – HBPD officers responded and believed the two people were passing out political flyers. 

Caller advising the neighbor’s septic system stinks. 

Caller reported a piece of junk Bronco is running and is very noisy – HBPD officer responded and was unable to locate any Broncos on Deishu Drive. 

Saturday, November 2

Caller reported 3 to 4 uncovered manholes into which a child’s foot could slip. A message was left for the facility manager. 

There were 8 911 hang-up calls, 7 EMS calls, and 21 burn permits issued during this reporting.
