Caller reported a bear with barbed wire wrapped around its neck near 13 Mile Haines Highway. Alaska Wildlife Troopers and the state’s bear biologist were advised.

Caller reported vehicles parked in the roadway on Theater Drive almost every day. Officers were advised.
Caller on Main Street turned in two trespass notices that he served people and would like police to be aware of.
An officer investigated a report of a suspicious person on the Haines Highway.
A caller reported a bear saw her cat through a window and she is afraid it will try to break into her Deishu Drive home. Caller stated she closed the curtains and the bear left.
Sept. 24
Caller reported a bear with two cubs trying to get into her Front Street house. Caller stated the bear is on her front porch. An officer responded but the bears were gone when he got there.
A caller reported an injured bear in the woods at the Haines Highway and Mud Bay Road intersection. An officer was advised.
Caller reported a fire alarm going off on Deishu Drive. Volunteer firefighters responded.
Caller advised the injured bear is back in the area along Mud Bay Road. An officer responded but the bear was gone when he arrived.

Caller reported bears are tearing up their neighbor’s garbage on Sawmill Road. An officer responded and found a sow with three cubs.
A Main Street caller reported receiving an odd message from a previous employee. An officer was advised.
Dispatch noted a power outage. The cause is not known.
A caller advised a vehicle left in their Third Avenue parking lot had been there for three days and may have been abandoned. An officer was advised.

A driver on Main Street was issued a verbal warning for speed.
A caller reported a person threatening to sue them over a vehicle on the Haines Highway. An officer spoke with them.
A caller left contact information with dispatchers in case his wallet was turned in.
A caller reported a minor accident with no injuries on Chilkat Park Road.
A driver was cited for having no insurance and no registration on the Haines Highway.
A caller reported someone had bashed out two windows on his vehicle on Union Street. An officer responded.

A caller on Mud Bay Road reported that an injured bear was back in the area.
An officer assisted a citizen in the CIA subdivision.
A caller reported an injured bear in the area of Mud Bay and Tower Road. An officer responded but did not locate it.
A caller brought in a raven that was acting strange and falling over on Main Street. The American Bald Eagle Foundation responded and met with the caller.
Sept. 28
A caller reported a trespasser on her Haines Highway property. Officers were advised.
A caller reported a bear had broken out two windows on her vehicle on Raven Road. The caller stated the bear went in one and out the other. The caller said there was no food in the vehicle and no blood was seen around the vehicle. The state’s bear biologist was advised.
