The Haines Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Haines Borough staff and assembly, grant administrator Carolann Wooton, Haines Borough Ports and Harbors Committee, harbormaster Sean Bell, Mayor Doug Olerud, Kells Boland and the Yukon Transportation Committee, the Yukon Chamber, U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, Legislative Aide Dana Herndon, Senator Jessie Kiehl, Alan Weitzner, Morgan Neff, and AIDEA staff, Robert Venables, Jan Hill, and Southeast Conference, Andrew Letchworth, and all of the people of Haines who have contributed to the conversation surrounding Lutak Dock. This has indeed been a team effort. We are grateful for the collaboration, and it has been an honor to work with all of you. This has been a tremendous win for our community as it will benefit all businesses and industries. This also signals the regional potential for Lutak Dock as a solid piece of infrastructure to support commerce and communities in Haines, Southeast, the Interior, and the Yukon. Lutak Dock is a port for the future of Haines. Its legacy will be dependable infrastructure for future generations to come.
