Sunday, Feb. 10
An individual reported a large crack running down the middle of Young Road. Borough officials were advised.
A hit-and-run was reported on Oslund Drive. An officer responded.
Police assisted troopers with a call involving a disabled vehicle at 23 Mile Haines Highway.
Two traffic stops resulted in verbal warnings for no taillight, expired registration and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Saturday, Feb. 9
An officer reported a domestic assault that occurred in the Beach Road area. An officer initiated a case.
A family member requested a welfare check on an individual who was possibly drinking heavily. Officers arrived and requested an ambulance for high intoxication.
Officers assisted a citizen in obtaining a protective order.
A traffic stop resulted in a verbal warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
Friday, Feb. 8
An apparently disabled vehicle was reported at the dock. A relative of the vehicle’s owner reported the owners were on a canoe trip and the vehicle was not broken down.
A caller reported a violation of a protective order.
An out-of-state caller requested a welfare check on a man who had not been answering his phone. Officers contacted the man, who said he had been sleeping and that he would contact his family.
A caller reported boulders in the roadway on Lutak Road. Police responded to remove them.
An individual reported an intoxicated male lying in the roadway on View Street.
A caller reported a horse loose in the Sawmill Road area. Police responded but the horse had already been contained.
A traffic stop resulted in a verbal warning for excessive speed.
Thursday, Feb. 7
A caller requested sanding on Allen Road and Menaker Road. State road crews were advised.
A citizen reported their vehicle was struck by a plow. An officer responded and provided the citizen with accident forms.
A fire call was received. Fire crews responded.
A caller reported a vehicle with expired registration parked at a local business. Records showed the vehicle was registered, but tags were not attached to the plate.
A male was taken into protective custody.
Wednesday, Feb. 6
A Southeast Alaska State Fair employee requested an officer make contact with a trespasser.
A possibly disabled vehicle was reported on FAA Road. An officer contacted the owner.
Dispatch provided information on contacting emergency services in Phoenix, Ariz.
An officer initiated a case for assault in the fourth degree.
Two traffic stops resulted in verbal warnings for a malfunctioning taillight and turn signal.
Dispatch received 16 medical calls and three canine calls.
