Ticket sales for the 25th annual Great Alaska Craft Beer and Homebrew Festival began Feb. 1, and organizers say some events may be sold out this week.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 185 of 200 tickets were sold to the festival dinner, 344 of 400 were sold to the connoisseur’s tasting, and 807 of 1,300 were sold to the afternoon tasting. Festival dates are Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27.

Beer Fest has sold out each year in advance of the event since 2009. Festival tickets, festival information, and home brew entry instructions are at seakfair.org. Tickets are sold separately for each event.

Festival events begin Friday with judging of homebrew entries by a panel of certified judges, and finish with a five-course, gourmet dinner with craft beer pairings, catered this year by Lionel Uddipa, executive chef at SALT restaurant in Juneau.

Festivalgoers have the opportunity to sample from more than 100 beers created and poured by craft breweries from Alaska, the Yukon, and the Lower 48.
