A caller in the area of Second Avenue reported a person may have stolen their medical supplies. Officers spoke with complainant.

Four traffic stops – One resulting in a citation for the person violating conditions of release.

Sunday, Sept. 18

A caller reported intoxicated females running up the street screaming and a tavern playing excessively loud music on Second Avenue.

Several callers reported no water service on Cathedral View Drive. Public works was advised.

A caller reported their car had been scratched down the length of the vehicle.

A caller reported trash scattered at Picture Point.

A resident of Battle Road reported an unknown male has been coming into her house. HBPD conducted a security check of the residence and found no signs of an intruder.

Saturday, Sept. 17

911 hang-up. Caller contacted and he stated he did not need assistance.

Simultaneous calls were received from both parties of a disorderly conduct incident at a Main Street tavern. HBPD responded.

A Haines Highway resident reported his car had been “rifled through.”

A caller reported a parking violation on Second Avenue.

A caller requested a welfare check on a man in a parking lot on Second Avenue. HBPD responded; person declined assistance.

A caller reported an intoxicated driver at a liquor store parking lot. HBPD responded; driver gone on arrival.

A caller reported youths at the cruise ship dock had tipped over a trash can. HBPD responded.

Friday, Sept. 16

A caller reported firewood was all over the road between 5 Mile and 7.5 Mile Haines Highway. DOT was advised.

A person came to the police department to report a suspicious flashing strobe light down at the boat harbor. Harbormaster advised.

A burglary was reported by an employee of a business on Third Avenue.

A prisoner was released to a security service for transport to a Juneau facility.

A caller reported a vehicle accident at 24 Mile Haines Highway. AST, HVFD and KVFD responded.

A caller reported four youths on skateboards wrestling on Main Street. They were gone when police arrived.

An organization on First Avenue requested assistance getting the doors to its building locked. HBPD assisted.

Thursday, Sept. 15

A caller reported a minor vehicle accident had occurred the night before. Drivers exchanged insurance information.

A business in the area of 33 Mile Haines Highway reported a trespasser. Information logged and referred to Alaska State Troopers.

Multiple callers reported a vehicle on Union Street with the horn constantly sounding. HBPD responded; the vehicle owner was contacted and the horn disabled.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

Dispatch received a 911 hang up. Unable to complete ring-back.

Dispatch received an accidental 911 call. Caller stated there was no emergency.

A resident in the Haines townsite area followed up with dispatch advising they have continued to receive unwanted prank phone calls. Caller initiated a phone trace.

HBPD received and served a summons to court on a resident of the townsite area.

Tuesday, September 13

HBPD received multiple calls on a male subject being disorderly in the area of Main Street. Officers met with subject.

Dispatch received a 911 hang-up call. Unable to complete ringback.

HBPD officers assisted a citizen near the Battery Point trailhead.

Dispatch received a call reporting a male subject threatening drivers on Main Street. Incident resulted in officers taking subject into custody.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of First Avenue and Mission. No criminal activity found.
