A Mud Bay Road resident reported a $600 chainsaw had been stolen from the back of his vehicle sometime during the last few days. Police initiated a case.

A resident living in the area of Third Avenue and Union Street reported someone burning plastics. A fireman responded, located the burn barrel and helped the resident sort his burnables and non-burnables.

Sunday, April 26

A caller reported a person violating probation at a Main Street bar. An officer responded, confirmed the violation and arrested the person.

Saturday, April 25

A Deishu Drive resident asked police to conduct a welfare check on a person making suicidal statements. An officer responded, located the person and held them in protective custody after an assessment by a mental health clinician.

Klukwan resident reported receiving a fraudulent text message. He was advised not to respond to the message. Troopers were notified.

Friday, April 24

A resident reported being stalked by another person while in a local store. No other reports of similar behavior have been made, and there is no protective order on record with the courthouse.

A traffic stop resulted in a warning for failure to display temporary registration.

Thursday, April 23

An officer reported an open window at a local business. Dispatch made attempts to contact a responsible party.

Wednesday, April 22

A highway resident came to the station to ask for a ride home. A taxi was contacted.

A caller asked police to conduct a welfare check on a person who hadn’t responded to appointments that day. An officer checked and found the man was ill.

Tuesday, April 21

A Fort Seward area resident reported receiving additional harassing phone calls. Dispatch passed on the information to the officer in charge of the case.

A caller reported being harassed by an intoxicated man near 4 Mile Haines Highway. The caller was concerned the man had driven to the area. The caller provided a license plate number and description of the vehicle. An officer spoke with the caller and determined there was no evidence the man had been driving.
