A person reported an RV parked in a borough parking lot on Third Avenue. Officers were advised.

A person asked for help with a neighbor on Second Avenue. Police determined it was a civil matter and referred those involved to the court.

A caller reported a child’s bike in the ditch on Major Road. An officer responded but couldn’t find the bike.

An officer saw fireworks on Lutak Road, but the people who set off the fireworks were gone by the time the officer arrived.

Friday, June 3

Dispatch received a report of a vehicle parked on a Third Avenue sidewalk. Police responded but were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description.

An officer served a protective order on a Haines resident.

Officers responded to a report of a mentally unstable person on Third Avenue. The person left after being told they were not allowed on the property.

Police responded to a Main Street residence to deal with a civil matter.

A person reported a green pick-up truck driving erratically on Third Avenue. Troopers responded but were unable to locate the vehicle.

A Community Waste Solutions employee reported an SUV driving recklessly through the business’s FAA Road lot. Officers were notified.

Dispatch received multiple reports of a transient man yelling on Front Street and Third Avenue. An officer was advised.

A person asked police to conduct a welfare check on a man lying in the grass on Second Avenue. An officer responded but the man didn’t need help.

Wednesday, June 1

Police helped a woman who reported a disorderly man would not leave her 10 Mile Mud Bay residence. A caller reported someone stole items from the back of her pick-up truck while it was parked at a Fort Seward campground.

A woman called 911 to report she was having custody issues. She was advised it was a civil matter to be settled by the court.

A caller asked an officer to respond because someone had tried to get into her Fort Seward area apartment. Police responded and determined the report was unfounded.

A caller reported a man near the intersection of Second Avenue and the Haines Highway was walking in the middle of the road yelling and causing cars to swerve around him. Police responded but the man was gone.

A caller reported a hit-and-run accident he believed occurred four days previous at the Southeast Alaska State Fairgrounds.

Tuesday, May 31

A Young Road resident reported having no water service. Public Works was advised.

An officer reported a sign down on the Haines Highway. State road crews were advised.

Police assisted in a civil disagreement.

Police received civil paperwork from the court to be served on a Haines resident.
