Friend Doris Ward, 88, also took a ride on the zipline. “I was ready to go,” Doris said. “It took a long time to get harnessed in and a lot of kids wanted to do it. That made me nervous, but it was fun. I’m glad I did it.” Doris said she and Marge heard about the zipline a year ago. “We made our move and made sure we did it this year.” They also tucked into the event’s lunch of roast hot dogs and s’mores, Doris said.
