Congratulations to the winners in the School Library’s Tournament of Readers! Forty-one students participated in the tournament this year. They read 2-10 books each. Winners this year include the Despicable Unicorns, first place; Raging Prairie Gliders, second place; and Warthog Readers, third place. A huge thank you to all who volunteered their time as judges, timers and question writers: Gabi Miller, Molly Ekstrom, Jasper Posey, Derek Davison, Sarah Long and Holly Davis. Thank you to the Babbling Book for prizes and to the Fireweed Restaurant for the donation of a pizza party for the first-place winners, and the wonderful cake made by Krystal Lloyd helped to celebrate all the hard work and reading done by everyone!
I would especially like to thank Karen Garcia, for being here at every round as the question reader and for writing questions. I really appreciated her dedication to make this event a successful one. Thank you for supporting reading in our school!
