Police responded to a two-car accident in the vicinity of Helms Loop Road.

An officer responded after a Young Road landlord reported feeling threatened by tenants.

A caller from 33 Mile reported a family member broke into a residence. The call was referred to state troopers.

Traffic stops resulted in a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign and two citations for skateboarding in the street.

Saturday, Oct. 6

Camping equipment was reported stolen from a Sawmill Road business.

An out-of-town caller requested a welfare check on traveling relatives. Police contacted the travelers and determined they were fine.

Traffic stops resulted in a citation for not signaling a turn and warnings for lack of insurance, expired registration, excessive muffler noise, failure to use a seatbelt and headlight violations.

Friday, Oct. 5

A caller at Second Avenue and Union Street reported an intoxicated relative causing a disturbance. Police responded and quelled the situation.

Firemen investigated a report of a person burning toxic materials on Comstock Road.

A caller reported being nearly hit by a reckless driver in the post office parking lot.

Police arrested a drunk driver whose vehicle was swerving and reportedly endangering pedestrians on Lutak Road.

Police conducted a welfare check.

An abandoned vehicle was reported on North Sawmill Road.

A caller reported an intoxicated bicyclist crashed on a downtown street, then continued on foot. Police were unable to locate the person.

Thursday, Oct. 4

For the second day, both parties named in protective order called to report the other party had just driven by them.

A trespasser was reported at a home on Second Avenue. The person had left when police arrived.

A caller reported their vehicle was struck while parked in a driveway at Second Avenue.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

Police received a call about noise from a boat in the harbor. The noise was coming from a drill barge doing depth testing.

Both parties named in a protective order called to report the other party had just driven by them.

A caller reported a person called pretending to be a relative and when questioned, hung up. Police cautioned residents not to provide personal information over the phone.

Callers were concerned about heavy smoke in the valley from a controlled burn on Major Road. The person burning was advised to not add more fuel.

Police helped with a vehicle pulled from a ditch at Third Avenue and Lynnview Drive.

Firewood was reported stolen from property on Beach Road.

A caller reported loud music from a residential area near 1 Mile Haines Highway. Police patrolled but did not hear the music.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

Police served a restraining order.

The harbormaster reported a suspicious person in his office. An officer responded and made contact with the individual.

A caller reported a propane tank stole from a Young Road residence. The tank was later determined to have been borrowed by a friend.

Police responded to a complaint of a reckless driver at Second Avenue and Main Street.

Police received were eight medical calls.
