Sunday, Feb. 20

An officer arrested a woman driving while intoxicated at 2 Mile Haines Highway.

Police took into protective custody a person who was reportedly extremely intoxicated downtown.

Saturday, Feb. 19

Road crews were advised of a call reporting 12 inches of snow on Haines Highway between the airport and 10 Mile.

A caller reported a drunk driver on Haines Highway. An officer was advised, but did not locate the person.

An officer responded after a caller reported a front-end loader on the side of Mud Bay Road.

A vehicle was found on the side of Haines Highway and Piedad Road.

Friday, Feb. 18

A caller with a protective order requested extra patrols around their downtown apartment complex.

Thursday, Feb. 17

A person called 911 to find out why their phone was not working. State troopers were advised.

Wednesday, Feb. 16

An officer reported an unauthorized, unattended burn on Skyline Drive.

A caller requested a welfare check on a local person downtown. An officer and EMT responded. The person was confused due to a medical issue.

Tuesday, Feb. 15

A caller requested a welfare check on their neighbor whose door was open in the middle of the night on upper Young Road. An officer responded and observed no one was home and there were no signs of disturbance.

A caller reported a person chasing another person with a knife on Deishu Drive. An officer responded and made an arrest for assault in the third degree, a felony. The person with the knife had been in an argument with an acquaintance.

There were 22 medical calls and two calls about dogs.
