A caller reported a reckless driver on Small Tracts Road. An officer was advised but did not locate the driver.

A caller reported a fire. An officer responded and found the owner of the property was having a cookout.

A caller reported a moose in town near the library. An officer advised the caller not to approach the moose.

A caller reported a reckless driver on Fourth Avenue. An officer responded and gave the driver a warning.

A caller reported an intoxicated pedestrian downtown. An officer responded, and a family member came to take the person home for the night.

A caller reported hearing gunshots in the townsite area. An officer responded and found a person target shooting near Battery Point and gave a warning.

Friday, June 3

A caller reported a bag stolen from a vehicle at the ferry terminal.

A caller reported two juveniles skateboarding down the center of a road. An officer responded but was unable to locate anyone skateboarding.

Thursday, June 2

A person reported someone had kicked in the wall to the women’s restroom at Tlingit Park. An officer was advised.

A caller reported a vehicle had parked in the bus parking area at the Port Chilkoot Dock. An officer responded and issued a warning.

A caller reported a vehicle ran into the ditch at 3 Mile Haines Highway and there were no injuries. An officer and a tow truck responded.

A caller reported a small oil spill on Lutak Road. Hazardous materials personnel responded and did not locate any spill in the area.

A caller reported three vehicles parked in the cruise ship parking lot that did not have permits. An officer responded and left warnings on the vehicles.

Wednesday, June 1

A caller reported a person was giving rides to tourists without a permit. An officer gave a warning to the person.

A caller reported people stayed at the Chilkoot Lake campground without paying, and had left their trash behind. State parks officials were advised.

A caller reported someone kept making prank phone calls to their house.

Tuesday, May 31

A caller reported a one-person accident after a car flipped upside down at 9 Mile Haines Highway. Emergency medical services and fire teams were dispatched to the scene, and the driver was medevaced to Juneau. The driver has returned to Klukwan, and the accident is under investigation.

There were 24 medical calls and six calls about dogs.
