    A caller reported a possible drunk driver downtown. An officer responded but was unable to locate the vehicle after patrolling the area.

    A caller reported a vehicle with expired plates.

    A caller requested an officer contact a sick family member.

    A caller reported a strong smell of fuel at a local business at 0 Mile Old Haines Highway. The manager was advised.

Sunday, April 10

    A person reported an eagle swimming in the bay. The American Bald Eagle Foundation was advised.

    A caller reported an eagle caught in wire with two broken legs on Small Tracts Road. The bald eagle foundation captured the eagle and sent it to the Juneau Raptor Center.

Saturday, April 9

    A caller reported a reckless driver drove up onto a Main Street sidewalk and hit a sign and fire hydrant. An officer responded and made citations. A caller later reported the sign knocked over in the street was causing a hazard.

    A caller reported bags of trash on Main Street near the school.

    A caller reported a large hole in Beach Road pavement. Public works was advised.

Thursday, April 7

    A caller reported a possible fraud call in which the caller claimed that a family member owed them money.

    A caller requested contact be made with a family member in the Four Winds Subdivision due to an emergency. State troopers were advised, and a neighbor contacted the family member.

Wednesday, April 6

    A caller reported a neighbor took items from their yard without permission. An officer was advised. The neighbor had used a rake and a shovel to get rocks off the road on Fourth Avenue.

Tuesday, April 5

    A caller reported a lot of smoke on Mud Bay Road and thought someone was burning materials. An officer responded and found several smoking chimneys but no one burning.

    A caller reported a lost purse but later found the purse at a relative’s residence.

    A caller reported Sunshine Street had a soft spot in which their car got stuck. Public works was advised.

    There were 18 medical calls and eight calls about dogs.
