The Fort Seward area has a new coffee and treats shop. Sarah J’s Shoppe, at No. 25 Portage St., opened June 6. The shop, owned and operated by Sarah Jaymot, serves coffee and espresso drinks, cold beverages, fresh-squeezed limeade and lemonade, fresh baked goods, made to order breakfast burritos, and sandwiches. Kaladi Brothers Coffee beans are available for sale. Call-ahead and special orders are accepted.
Jaymot said she is also selling art and gifts at the shop. She makes and sells mirror mobiles and recently started carrying painted light switch covers. She has two artists selling their work on consignment in the shop. The shop also carries products from a local chocolatier.
Jaymot said she is exploring the option of staying open year-round. The shop is open 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and accepts cash or local checks.
