Why do we not have cell-phone use in the valley, with so many homes that we have past 1 Mile Haines Highway, and so many outdoor activities that go on? Cell phones are a must, in case someone gets lost, a car breaks down, fishing on the river, or a car accident (which was my issue Thursday morning). It’s absolutely uncalled for that we have to go all the way in town to make the calls like the one I needed to make regarding the situation I was in. We need cell phone access in the valley. I don’t know how much it would cost to get a tower out here, but I’m sure the benefits of getting it outweigh the need for a parking lot.
Please, people, let’s get this going.
