Think June’s been a bit colder than usual? You’re right, by a whopping two degrees, according to the National Weather Service. 

Through Wednesday in Haines, the daily high temperature had averaged 62 degrees, compared to the historic average for the month of 64 degrees, said Nicole Hannon, meteorology intern at the weather service in Juneau. The average is based on Haines records for June dating back to 1950.
