A Washington-based company submitted a placer mining application to the Alaska Department of Natural Resources at Porcupine Creek. RGD Mining Company Inc. said it plans on drilling ten five-inch holes between 50 and 100 feet deep to take samples. The application doesn’t say what the company is looking for.
