The Haines Borough may soon have a new police officer patrolling the Chilkat Valley, pending a background check.
Caleb Hubbard applied for the police officer position at the end of April.
According to his application, Hubbard attended Juneau Douglas High School in Juneau and currently works for Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium as an environmental technician.
