We need borough assembly members who will listen to all voices respectfully in the community, who are willing to promote town hall-type meetings on contentious issues in order to seek common ground so we can accomplish our goals with greater unity, rather than pushing ahead with agendas that promote divisiveness. We need an assembly that models transparency and respectfulness to all members of the public that they are elected to serve.
Eben Sargent and John Norton will bring needed fresh perspectives and fresh ears to community needs and concerns. Affordable housing, child care, health and wellness, and fiscal responsibility are important to developing a sustainable year-round economy in this community. Eben and John understand these issues and will work toward unity in developing solutions to our needs.
I appreciate the diligence and respectfulness to all modeled by our current planning commission members. The two current members up for re-election, Rachel Saitzyk and Dan Schultz, have demonstrated their willingness to tackle complex planning issues with sensitivity and hard work. They have served the public well and deserve to be re-elected.
Please join me in voting for Eben, John, Rachel, and Dan.
