John Norton has been a good friend for many years. A longtime Alaska resident living a majority of his time in Haines, he is a critical thinker and is educated in several scientific disciplines. In addition, he has worked and volunteered in a variety of areas such as commercial fishing, fisheries research, teaching, woodworking artistry, fire fighting, search and rescue, and theater. He is always curious and willing to learn. He’s also amenable to changing his mind if presented with compelling evidence for the contrary hypothesis. A modern day renaissance man!
Essentially, he is a community elder who will bring to the assembly the wisdom and experience needed when presented with a menu of possible solutions for finding the best path forward. Please vote for John Norton for the assembly. And, yes, he was abducted by aliens, and came back a geologist!!
