On Sept. 16, 2025, the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory released its legal analysis of the conduct of Israel in Gaza since October 2023, which concluded Israel is committing the crime of genocide.
Genocide is recognized by international law and binds all states with an obligation to prevent and punish acts of genocide. It covers acts committed with the intent to destroy in whole or part, a national, ethical, racial or religious group.
President Trump supports Netanyahu and Israel in spite of findings of their war crimes, and now, genocide. Congress has provided weapons to Israel with our tax dollars and made all of us complicit in Israel’s crimes.
Numerous U.S. companies also provide weapons and equipment to Israel.
Yesterday at the UN’s 80th session, Australia, the UK, France, and Canada officially recognized the State of Palestine, leaving the U.S. the only permanent UN Security Council member voting against resolutions calling for the recognition of Palestine.
It is critical to contact Representative Begich and Senators Murkowski and Sullivan. Ask that they vote against providing any weapons to Israel. Demand an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza and immediate, unimpeded, accessible humanitarian aid. We must never be complicit in genocide.
