The board of the Four Winds Resource Center would like to express our thanks to the Planning Commission for their careful consideration of the assembly resolution to put the borough property at the former Mosquito Lake School up for sale.
We are grateful for their decision to hold a future meeting at the facility in order to view the property and speak directly to our board and community members.
Our community center is a thriving non-profit that provides a community garden (The Victory Garden), a food hub, an emergency shelter, a gathering place for educational events, recreation, art exhibits and craft nights, and many other opportunities for the whole family.
We are a volunteer organization that is an asset to the borough at a cost to the borough budget of about $40,000 a year. We think they are getting more than their money’s worth in services.
