Caller reported finding blood on the sidewalk. Caller stated they did not know what type but it was a fair amount. An officer responded and didn’t find anyone or anything in the area.

Monday, Nov. 25

An officer assisted another agency on the Haines Highway. 

Tuesday, Nov. 26 

A driver was given a verbal warning for use of headlights during dark hours on the Haines Highway. 

Dispatchers took a follow-up incident on a court order. 

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Police received a report of an expected death on Tower Road. 

Dispatchers took a follow-up incident on a court order in Haines. 

Caller reported a trespasser in the buildings under construction in the Hilltop Subdivision.

An officer took a follow-up report after an incident on Main Street. 

A driver was given a verbal warning for speed on the Haines Highway

Caller reporting a male running back and forth across the Haines Highway. Caller stated the male ran out in front of his truck. An officer responded but the man was gone. 

Thursday, Nov. 28

Caller turned in a wallet that was left in the bar. 

Dispatchers took a follow up incident on a court order.

Friday, Nov. 29

Caller reported a bear with a broken and bleeding leg on First Avenue. 

Caller requested a welfare check on Comstock Road. An officer responded and reported everything was fine. 

An officer did a follow-up report on an incident on the Haines Highway. 

Dispatchers took a follow-up incident on a court order on the Haines Highway.

A driver was issued a verbal warning on Main Street for equipment. 

A bicycle rider was given a verbal warning for failure to stop, no lights, and riding in the opposite direction of traffic on Union Street.

Saturday, Nov. 30

Dispatchers took a follow-up incident on a court order. 

Caller advised that the Letnikof Dock had broken loose and might damage pilings. 

A pair of glasses found at the CIA dock were turned into dispatch. 

A caller advised that a door was opened on a residence on Soap Suds Alley. An officer responded and the residence was secured. 

A fire alarm was activated on Deishu Drive. The volunteer fire department responded.  

Caller requested a welfare check on the Haines Highway. An officer responded and found all was well. 

An officer spoke with a resident on Tower Road about an open door which was left open to let pets in and out. 

A caller reported an excessively loud vehicle on Deishu Drive. An officer responded but all was quiet. 

A call was received from the iPhone satellite relay center about a vehicle crash.  Police and firefighters responded to the scene. 

There were two 911 hang up calls, one canine call, three EMS calls and 13 burn permits issued during this reporting period.
