Haines volunteer firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Third Avenue.
Caller reports that someone was burning watermelon rinds and a bear was hauling them all over Skyline Drive.
Caller reported hearing gunshots. A Haines police officer responded and found three juveniles legally hunting ducks.
Caller reported a very strong smell from the sewer plant. Water and Sewer Department staff were advised.
Caller advised a bear fight on the beach below him and a possible injured bear. Haines police responded and no bear was found, but a nixle alert was sent out to warn walkers in the area along Mud Bay Road.
A caller reported two bears opened their truck door on Helms Loop. Caller stated they had chased the bears off. An officer responded and found that the bears had moved on.

Caller reported what sounded like a wounded bear near the river at Jones Point. A nixle alert was generated about a possible wounded bear in the area.
Caller reported that a free pile at the bottom of Cathedral View at Haines Highway was just garbage and people were adding to it.
Caller requested help getting into his locked vehicle.
A police officer investigated a report of domestic abuse.

A driver was given a verbal warning for speeding on the Haines Highway
A caller reported that a big SUV was parked in the yellow on Main Street and that they were unable to see around it. Officers were advised.
A caller reported a bear running into the woods between Second and Third avenues, heading toward Dusty Trails. A Nixle alert was issued.
A caller reported a strong smell of propane in an area near Lynnview and View streets. Haines volunteer firefighters responded.

A caller reported a bear getting into the neighbor’s garbage can on FAA Road.
A caller advised that a bear had been hanging around the yard on Fair Drive.
Caller reported that a citizen had a knife in his hand that was open as he walked around Second Avenue. Officers were advised.
A credit card was turned in at the police station. The owner was not located.

Haines police alerted Alaska State Troopers and the Haines Volunteer Fire Department of a search and rescue effort on the Tsirku River.
Caller reported that during a guided bicycle tour a vehicle ran three people off of Lutak Road.
A blue iPhone in a clear case was found on Mud Bay Road and turned into dispatch. The owner was not located.

Caller reported a large litter pile at the intersection of Cathedral View and the Haines Highway.

A caller turned in a credit card found on Mud Bay Beach. The owner was located and the card returned.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on the Haines Highway.
