Yee haw! The Chilkat Center came alive Saturday night as locals and folks from Nome to Whitehorse enjoyed great music from the Muskeg Collective and danced the night away in their finest western wear at the KHNS Cowboy Ball! Many thanks to our event sponsors, and also to Henry Leasia for playing piano during happy hour, Annette Smith/LCCP for loaning costumes, Fred Shields and Jim Lampkins for loaning instruments, Sarah Jaymot, Kelsi Gloyer and Meredith Pochardt for serving libations, Kay Clements and Judy Erekson for selling tickets, Russ White and Cynthia Allen for serving as ushers, Peterson’s Pretzels for providing grub, and KHNS board members Suzanne Vuillet-Smith, Russ Lyman and Taylor Ashton for feeding the band and helping with setup/breakdown. Congrats to costume contest winner Leon Rogers! We at KHNS are grateful for your support of community public radio!
