In the Sept. 21 CVN interview for mayoral candidates, Jan Hill exposed her true self. When both candidates were asked to say something kind about the other candidate, Tom Morphet laid out a thoughtful list of kind attributes in regards to Jan Hill. But Jan Hill could not say one kind thing. Not one. Are you kidding me? I can say something kind about just about anybody, regardless of how much I dislike them. But Jan Hill instead showed us the exact reason she is unfit to be our Mayor. The inability to work with somebody with a different viewpoint is not the Haines way. In Haines, we stop and pull people we don’t like out of the ditch. That’s what we do and that’s why Haines is great. That’s what Tom Morphet does. Jan Hill is only interested in pushing the agenda of a select few, instead of what is beneficial for all of us. She would only result in more division in our local politics, and perpetuate the same old problems in our community.
