On behalf of the Chilkat Valley Local Foods Challenge Committee I want to thank all of our presenters and participants for making the first annual event a success. Thank you Mardell Gunn, Mandy Ramsey, Travis Kukull, Lani Hotch, Tawny Darling, and Robert Chadwell for providing educational experiences and opportunities for our participants to learn more about eating locally in our valley. Thank you Mosquito Lake School, Southeast Alaska State fairgrounds, and the Haines Senior Center for allowing us to use your spaces for our events. Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge! With nearly 40 participants, a whole lotta local foods were consumed. Nice work everyone!
