Public works was advised of a call about a broken water line on First Avenue.
A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked across the street from their house on Second Avenue. An officer determined the vehicle belonged to a neighbor.
Saturday, Nov. 27
A caller reported an overdue person. The caller stated that the person was driving and was one hour overdue. State troopers were advised, but the overdue person arrived within minutes of the call.
An officer responded to a call about an argument between a husband and wife on the west side of town.
Firemen were advised that a caller reported seeing smoke on Mount Ripinsky.
A caller reported a chimney fire at a residence on Deishu Drive. The fire department was dispatched.
Friday, Nov. 26
An officer was advised that a vehicle had driven off Lutak Road, by Picture Point. The officer said there were three occupants, all uninjured, and the vehicle would be moved the next day.
An officer was advised that a vehicle was reported abandoned in a private parking lot downtown.
A case was initiated for an Alcoholic Beverage Control violation at a local bar. A citation was issued for a bartender serving an intoxicated person.
A caller reported a chimney fire at a residence at 33 Mile Haines Highway. Klehini Valley Fire Department was dispatched and responded to the residence to put the fire out.
Thursday, Nov. 25
A person reported a vehicle driving erratically downtown. State troopers were advised because officers were on stand-by.
A caller reported a vehicle parked in the middle of the road near 7 Mile Haines Highway. An officer responded and made contact with the owner, who moved the vehicle.
Wednesday, Nov. 24
A caller reported needing help moving a broken-down vehicle; the caller was given the number to a local garage and the vehicle was moved.
A caller reported a vehicle swerving all over the road on Lutak Road and Union Street. An officer responded but did not locate the vehicle.
An officer reported a vehicle parked in the middle of the street in front of the public library. The officer made contact with the owner, who moved the vehicle.
An officer was advised of a call that a driver on Fair Drive almost struck a person sledding in the center of that road.
A caller reported snowmachines speeding on state roads. An officer responded and made contact and gave a warning to the driver at Fourth Avenue that speed limits need to be obeyed and driving snowmachines on state roads was illegal.
Tuesday, Nov. 23
A vehicle was reported in the way of snowplows on Mud Bay Road. The owner was contacted and said he would make arrangements to move the vehicle.
An officer responded to a reported disturbance between two family members at a downtown business.
A caller reported an intruder in a house they were watching while the owner was out of town. An officer responded and made contact with the owner, who said the suspected intruder had been given permission to stay there.
There were 15 medical calls and six calls about dogs.
