By the time this letter is published there will be 2 weeks left on DNR’s comment period for Constantine’s extensive permit “amendment.” The amendment, if granted, would allow bulldozers, excavators, skidders, trucks, bobcats, and a sonic track-mounted drill vehicle to drive through Glacier Creek and Plateau Creek during salmon spawning season. As noted on page 8 of the application, “Anadromous fish have been recorded at the fording locations.”
