The woman was accompanied by her husband, who was also driving a motorcycle.
Haines Volunteer Fire Department volunteers, police and the Alaska State Trooper responded around 2:45 p.m. Police officer Travis Russell was among the first officers on the scene and began performing CPR on the woman, who was lying in brush just off the highway’s shoulder.
