Amanda Randles and her team deserve a big thank you for organizing and putting on a great Southeast State Fair. I think everyone had a good time despite the marginal weather.
I also wanted to express my admiration for her very brave handling of an unfortunate incident. Friday evening, two men were in a full, on-the-ground brawl behind the stage. Other men were pulling them apart and trying to de-escalate the situation. One of the fighters would not give it up and after being pulled apart a second time, Amanda arrived and got right up in his face, close, and yelled at him. “You will stop this! I am escorting you to the gate now!” That sort of thing.
The next day when I commended her for her bravery, she brushed it off saying, “Oh, that is just my mom voice.” I could relate! And thank you again, Amanda!
