We had another excellent Winter Games on Saturday, thanks in large part to all of the hardworking people who put in so much time and effort to bring a day of fun outdoors to everyone. Thank you to Liam Wirek-Cassidy, Courtney Culbeck, Tom Faverty, Jim Jurgeleit, and Lynette Hart from the Fair staff and board for all of their help with the event. Thank you to Andus Hale at the Haines school for the use of equipment. Thanks to Matt Davis for trumpet playing, Maggie O’Brien for managing the hot drinks and the chili contest, Shawn Moore for taking care of the biathlon armory, Gina Randles for photos, videos, and general running, and Mayor Doug Olerud for opening the events with such style. Especially thank you to Tom Morphet, the heart and soul of this event, for another year of dedication for creating a day of fun and silliness for the community. See you next year!
