1. Biologist Carl Koch and Anthony Crupi are “cooking the books” to prevent me and my kind from killing more bears for profit. It must be a conspiracy.
2. Bears are the reason why you didn’t get your moose/fish this year. Start killing more of them so maybe next year you may be more successful.
3. I know more about bears in the Haines area than fish and game biologists who spend hundreds of hours in helicopters and aircraft; establishing population models; building statistical science-based estimates for the entire region,
4. The security needs of Haines residents are more important than bears. If a bear enters Haines township it should be shot on sight…. no questions asked.
5. Co-existing with apex predators is problematic and perhaps impossible; especially those who compete with humans for a food source.
6. We need to band together to relieve ourselves of this “Bear Crisis” by oiling up the big guns and start blazing away; killing more bears for ego, sustenance, profit and security.
