My point of view about Covid is in-synch with Keri Eggleston’s letter (CVN Oct. 28). I felt all right about Kyle Clayton’s disclaimer from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.
I’m writing to remind people that, unlike the makers of many things in this country, the makers of vaccines are not legally responsible for their products and the corresponding results. I don’t have my references all lined up, but I believe it was back in Reagan’s day that vaccine makers were being taken to court so much that they requested a solution from the government and they got it— you can’t be sued, you’re not liable, you can do no wrong when it comes to vaccines. This is not true of other drugs, of cars, of dog food, of whatever. We know stuff gets recalled. If someone sues a company for a vaccine and wins nowadays the money payment comes, not from the extraordinarily wealthy drug company, but out of a special fund that’s collected from the payments of everyone who takes vaccines. How many of us love paying for a product and also paying for the damage that product may do, even if unintentional? Nature/God does not make mistakes but we people do all the time. Imagine 10 years from now you’re watching TV and hear “Did you or a loved one take the covid vaccine? You may be entitled…” This is not a joke, this is possible. Please no vaccine mandates and second class citizens in our town.
