In last week’s article “Southeast Conference plans for inperson event,” Southeast Conference executive director Robert Venables was quoted as saying “‘I think the after-hour activity is what contributed to the community spread that was seen,’ Venables said of the residents who went to the bars.’” Venables later told the CVN he was not singling out the bars, but activities that occurred in many locations after state fair hours.
