As a part-time visitor to Haines since I bought property in the early 1980’s, I’ve kept an interested eye on all the evolutions through the years. I hate to see it designated as a gun sanctuary. I never got the sense of the town being overly pro-gun so it seems like a vanity issue. Since it represents the entire community, it deserves to be voted on by everybody.
