The Haines Borough police are completing a report on an accidental stabbing of a man on Aug. 5 at a vocational rental on Mud Bay Road.

The incident involved two men who were “horseplay[ing],” according to dispatch communication from officer Adam Patterson who was at the scene.

“It was an accident involving a knife where somebody was cut, but it wasn’t a crime,” police chief Heath Scott said. “The victim had a small laceration to the back of his arm.”

The police were notified of the incident by the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium clinic, which is required to contact police for potential crimes.
