It’s come to my last day of work at the Chilkat Valley News, and I wanted to sincerely thank the community of Haines for supporting me as one of your local reporters these last two years. I believe everything happens for a reason, and I was definitely meant to learn from this crazy, wonderful little community.
Thanks for stopping me in the grocery store to tell me you liked my stories. Thanks for answering my phone calls and emails… and even more phone calls when I was pressed to finish stories on deadline. Thank you for allowing me in to your events to wander with my camera. Thanks for buying the newspaper and reading my work every week. It’s truly been an adventure, and I’ll keep in touch from the windy city of Chicago.
