The Haines Gals Shooting Club would like to sincerely thank the Uglys of Haines for their generous contributions of $300 and a raffle. The funds will be helpful in getting us firmly established. The raffle will be integral to helping the HGSC name be known in the community.
Our main mission is education and safely advancing the shooting sports. The Gals have been meeting since October 2017 and have hosted four trainings in firearms use and safety. We are organized as an NRA-affiliated club and as a State non-profit organization. In addition, we were partners with Ed Bosco, Canadian Possession & Acquisition License trainer. Future events include another concealed carry and handgun self-defense class taught by Majority Arms (Soldotna) in October, training in situational awareness, as well as supporting our local Friends of the NRA annual banquet.
The Uglys of Haines are a prime example of what a committed and focused group can accomplish to better our town. They have effectively paved the way for other non-profits to work alongside them to identify and meet community needs. The contributions are significant, diverse, and far-reaching. Again, we thank you for your generous support. The Haines Gals are deeply grateful.
