This year the Southeast Alaska State Fair is again striving to be a zero-waste event with the help of Haines Friends of Recycling. Last year we recycled and composted almost all the waste from the Fair; only 200 pounds ended up going to CWS after the four-day event. Thanks to a grant from the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation, this year our signage is improved and we will once again have volunteers helping all the Fair attendees figure…
