As the Loewen family prepares to leave Haines, I realize there is neither time nor ink enough for all the thank yous I want to say. Thank you to the medical personnel who shepherded us through pregnancies and injuries. We came with one little girl and we leave with three! Thank you to the schools and the dear public library that educated those three most ably. Thank you to the Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers and families who educated me.
Thank you to the HPD and EMS that employed me, found my lost dog, and who work to keep us all safe and to pick us up when we fall down. Thank you to the customers who made Dipper Kitchen a success. Thank you to the local businesses that provided the goods and services we needed with a smile, a biscuit for the dog, and a helping hand out to the car. Last, but never least, thank you to the friends and neighbors who have celebrated our milestones, supported us through challenges, and generally put up with us over all these years. I am more grateful than I know how to say.
Rosalie Loewen
P.S. Thank you, also, to the bears for not eating my children and most of my chickens.
