I am constantly asked when I am going to sue the borough for what happened to me in October 2016. I am trying to find resolution, but the plot thickens. The assembly refused to help me with simple counseling after Officer Brown entered my cell wearing his service revolver (something that has never happened in the history of law enforcement) and I am trying to figure out how a lie that was told twice has been deemed “unintentional misrepresentation.” Most recently a package of tie-dye chemicals with a hole in it that caused the postal inspector to call the Haines Police to obtain information to contact me. The Haines PD again without fact or ever seeing the box put it in the police blotter two weeks ago as “Asissted another Agency. Drugs were involved.” I got a retracted statement that appears in this paper. Anybody who has had questionable contact with the Haines PD, where you have questioned the honesty of any officer in the department, is encouraged to call me at 303-8939. They are fueling a drug war that crime numbers do not match and forcing a drug issue as it is impossible to get pain treatment at the clinic because of a select few with addictions. All we ask for is be kind and be honest. We are not suspicious people walking down the street or parked looking at the awesomeness of Haines. Please stand and demand honesty and transparency at the Haines PD.
